Water is frequently overlooked when making dietary changes, since the focus is rightly on calories and food. Water is essential to our wellbeing as it makes up 60% of an adult body, and every cell needs it. Water can also help nip those hunger pangs in the bud. If you just ate an hour ago and you already feel hungry, chances are your brain is reading the thirst signal as hunger, so reach for a big glass of still water (the fizzy variety has now been proven to increase hunger).
