Fit & Fab

Protein doesn’t just come from animal products. Many plants provide it, including soybeans, white beans, lentils and nuts. Vegetables such as peas, spinach, broccoli and Brussels sprouts also contain protein, but are considered incomplete proteins, meaning that they don’t contain all the different types of amino acids required by the body, so it is recommended that they (including beans/pulses) are consumed with whole grains to complete the required amino acids.
