Processed Meats

Processed meats such as salami, bacon and others, are best eaten in moderation as various studies have associated their over-consumption with an increased risk of many chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and bowel and stomach cancer. It’s important to note however that while many foods are associated with certain types of disease, overall lifestyle is key: eating a well balanced diet, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
