It’s not only about food but also about overall calorie intake. If you need to reduce your calorie intake by 300 calories a day, replacing the 300 calories from a chocolate bar with 300 calories from fruit will be better for your health, but will not put you in calorie deficit. There is no magic diet that overrides the law of thermodynamics: if you want to lose fat, you need to burn off more than you consume.
